This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Quaker Oats for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
We're all so busy these days and that busyness starts the moment the alarm clock sounds and our feet hit the floor.
I've fallen into the convenient habit of rotating between cereal, granola, and protein bars for breakfast most mornings. I have my favorites, but variety is seriously important and I'm always looking for new and healthy breakfast options.
What qualifies? Anything I can grab and go and feel good about eating, and hopefully enjoy at the same time makes for a great breakfast snack. It helps if that grab and go breakfast is a wholesome food product too. Have you noticed how hard that is to find? Unfortunately convenient doesn't usually equal healthy.
I'm very conscious of what I eat. Not that I always eat healthy. If that makes sense? I think a lot about what I'm choosing to consume, what I hand my kids for breakfast and snack time, and when I make a poor decision, I feel the guilt all day long. Ever been there? I love that the Quaker Soft Baked Bar is a healthy snack option for our busy lifestyle!
Quaker Soft Baked Bars come in two varieties... one of which I find especially exciting, given my love for banana bread! I love to bake fresh banana bread, but with summer just around the corner, heating up my house baking bread isn't something I'm hip on. So, you better believe I'm going to try Quaker's Soft Baked banana nut bread bar!
The other bar Quaker has recently unveiled is one my husband would likely enjoy, given his appreciation for pecans. I'm not into pecans so much, but the cinnamon pecan bread bar wouldn't last 2 minutes in my kitchen. Or, at least that would be my guess! lol
Both bars are packed with protein and fiber and low in calories. I'm a calorie counter (when I'm doing things right). Some people count carbs, some look at fat, I'm all about calories. I also pay a lot of attention to protein. They say protein in the morning is especially important, so the 6 grams of protein in Quaker's 140 calorie bars, is rather attractive. What's more they contain a full 5 grams of fiber and 5 B-Vitamins!
Have you tried either bar? What do you like or not like about what you know about the new Quaker Soft Baked Bars?
