Facebook Games and Free Slots Fever... Do You Play?

Until today, I had never played a game on Facebook... not even Farmville! So many of my friends are hooked. Honestly, I've never been much of a game player, online or offline and don't have a single game installed on my phone... not even Angry Birds!

Earlier this year, something motivated me to enter the Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes online, which opened up a deluge of emails and invitations to play what resemble slot machine and scratch off games. You earn tokens for sweepstakes entries by clicking and scratching off tickets or clicking and spinning a wheel. My 10 year old daughter insisted on doing the clicking... even when I wasn't engaged with my computer. She found it to be a blast... even though nothing ever came of it.... meaning we didn't win! lol

Today I'm looking at a gaming site called Slots Fever on Facebook that reminds me of that PCH game page. It takes awhile to load on my computer, but basically has that feel of online gambling. So far though, I haven't spent any money! Don't plan on it either. It looks like you can buy additional coins, but I've been sitting here spinning the wheel for about 10 minutes now free of charge. As you may have sensed, I'm not much of a gambler and don't have any real experience playing online casino style games... outside the PCH website, but it does look like fun! At the same time, I feel a bit lost... I don't really know how to play this game and can't find any instructions. So far I have 2040 points, but I don't know what to do with them! lol

As I've been typing this review... I've continued to play King's Gold... waiting to see what happens when 5 stars have been collected. There's an auto spin option, that allows me to take my attention from the game, while I blog. I could opt to stop the wheel at any time using the "stop spin" option while on auto spin... hadn't noticed that until now! So... if I see anything exciting going on, I can try and catch it before it passes.

All that being said, the game stopped just before I neared the end of my journey with a notice that my Internet connection has been lost... yet my Internet seems to be fine? I don't know what to think, but I guess the game is over! Perhaps I'll never know what happens when all 5 stars are collected?  Hmmm

The specific game I'm playing is called King's Gold. Have you played before? Do you know how it works? What is the objective and how am I doing? lol  Please chime in and share your thoughts!
