The Hard Reality of Homeschooling... Looking at the Stats

The reality of homeschooling is that statistically speaking homeschooled students outperform public schooled children in every subject, regardless of income level, nationality, region of the country, or choice of curriculum. Don't believe me? It's all in black and white at HSLDA's website, plain as day. Research proves what we already knew... brick and mortar can't compete what we can do at home!

There's just no comparison to the one-on-one approach we give our children when we choose to homeschool. We meet them at their level, which in time is almost always a step ahead of their peers, and we let them progress at a pace that is comfortable to them. We know personally all their strengths and weaknesses, where to give that extra 20 minutes of attention or where to direct their focus should they need a little encouragement or push to succeed.

I strongly encourage you to take a look at Academic Statistics on Homeschooling. If you're already homeschooling it will remind you of why you chose this unconventional path. If you're contemplating homeschooling, you'll find great support to help you make a decision and if you're trying to convince your spouse to jump on board with this idea... you'll find all the ammunition necessary to argue your case. lol

Good luck!

I love this post. I was home and Christian private schooled for my entire school career and I never regretted it. In fact, I thank my parents for making the commitment to doing what was (and is). They took my education seriously and provided me with the best they could.
