Teaching Children About Weather

I found the coolest educational weather kit online today. It comes with all sorts of measuring devices, gadgets and a teachers guide, perfect for teaching grades 6-12. The only down side I see is the price... at nearly $140 the price is a bit intimidating. However, considering what you get, I honestly think it's pretty reasonable. My kids are too young to benefit from this just yet, but I'm bookmarking this site. :)

This site offers many other teaching tools, many of which are more family budget friendly.

Here are some weather teaching links I found today (for younger kids too), all providing free information and resources:

Weather Wiz Kids Great info for teaching elementary children about weather. I really like this site!

Sky Diary This is another cool educational find. This site provides you with great facts, photos, and graphics, perfect for supplementing a lesson.

CanTeach Has some fun weather poems.

NOAA Weather for Kids This site has some really cool pdf's you can print at home. They're great for teaching weather safety to children. Be sure to check them out!

Ooooh, those are awesome, Wendy! Thanks for sharing! :D
Hey have you ever used Rainbow Resource Center? I just discovered it (slow me!) and found a cool kit to make a catapult. I know my son would love something like this!
