One of the things that you don’t really think about sometimes when you are a child is how safe you feel in your home. If you grew up in a home like I did with both parents and a dog and siblings running around all the time you just assume that you are always going to be safe at home and it is something that you take for granted.

Once you get older and have a family of your own you realize the lengths that your parents probably went to to keep you safe and in a naive little cocoon of safety and comfort. I know that now that I have kids I try my best to never let them feel like something is dangerous or scary when we are at home because I want them to always feel comfortable and safe there. One thing that my husband and I would not compromise on is getting a Home Security system installed on our home. We decided that there is no reason to ever not have home security.
