This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.
If you or a loved one is in need of mobility equipment, it's important to keep in mind that not all products are created equal. When it comes to our mobility, it's especially important to keep safety in check... given we're already dealing with an individual with a disability, or physical injury. How do you know for certain, you're giving your loved one the safest, most dependable, and let's take it a step further... most customized equipment to their specific size, situation, and needs?
NMEDA is a non-profit trade association for dealers of mobility equipment, specialists in driver rehabilitation, and others dedicated to improving the opportunities for the disabled to drive motorized vehicles... which is ever so important when we consider the privileges of adult independence.
NMEDA promotes safe driving equipment for the disabled. In fact, they're the only association requiring their members adhere to the safety standards set in place by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. What this should tell you is that any dealer of mobility equipment not associated with NMEDA is likely not adhering to these standards.
NMEDA has Dealers AND Quality Assurance Program (QAP) dealers... the Quality Assurance Program dealers work to insure that a regulated set of standards for quality control are adhered to by all NMEDA members. This in turn insures the safety and protection of customers seeking an NMEDA dealer.
We have an NMEDA dealer about a 10 minute drive from our home... I found this by visiting the NMEDA sited, entering my zip code and finding all NMEDA dealer's in my vicinity... you can do the same!
