The McCaughey Septuplets are 13!
Something about this family has always touched my heart... I'll never forget the teary-eyed mother of toddlers on the Today Show telling the world that the fact 2 of her kids had Cerebral Palsy didn't "change who they are". Those words have stuck in my head for over a decade.
As mom to a special needs kid myself, I know she's so right. What I can't relate too is raising so many children! I find this family amazing on so many levels and wanted to share this video clip of their latest interview.
I'd like to know how they have survived on as little as $300 a month on groceries... even growing their own produce... I can't imagine how that's done. My little family of 4 could learn so much from the McCaugheys!

Oh, me too! I was sitting in my beloved Granny's living room watching the news when their birth was announced! That is such a special memory for me! It was one of the last times I was there before she died. I even mentioned it recently on my blog. We visited the Titanic museum in Orlando and I took a pic of a People mag. It had the septuplets on the cover (in the upper right corner), but the main focus was on the stars of the Titanic movie (DiCaprio and Winslet).
I happened across the special the other night and watched it. I, too, was amazed that she feeds everyone for $300 a month, even though I follow lots of frugal bloggers who do it too. It's just fantastic when anyone can do it!
Did you see her making those cakes and pizzas for the party? And I feel like *I'm* pooped after a party! Phew!
