Wednesday, April 22nd is Earth Day
At the risk of sounding like an environmentalist (speaking of those with obscure political agendas)... I do recycle and have a sincere desire to preserve and restore our planet as much as we are able. I think we all have a responsibility to do what we can to keep our earth healthy and beautiful for future generations.
So, with that said, I wanted to share some Earth Day links with my readers. You can make Earth Day an all day affair, or you can just mention it, but I would like to encourage you to share the importance of recycling, not littering, and just generally making smart decisions about what we dump where... like for example, raise your children to know better than to pour used motor oil down the storm drain as a neighbor of ours did a few years ago! Sorry... I still get a little bent out of shape about that one.
Not a big list, but I don't like reading through large lists anymore than I like creating them! lol So here you go:
Earth Day Krafts, Food and Activities
Earth Day Teacher's Lounge
Earth Day gov/kids
Green Guide for Kids
Kids Be Green
ABC Teach coloring pages
Green Eggs & Ham coloring pages (ok, this is a bit irrelevant, but threw it in for fun)
Have a great one! Hope your homeschooling semester is going wonderfully! Enjoy some time outside and keep on plugging away!
