Creating a Support Group

If you live in an area that doesn't have a lot of support for homeschooling families, you may have had the thought of initiating a support group all on your own. We ALL need the support of other homeschoolers to keep us in the groove.

In my county there are actually a great number of activities and organizations for homeschooling families, but not anything in my neighborhood or even in my city. I've given this issue some thought and have decided that once I have a car, I'll really consider the possibility of starting a Christian Homeschooling Support group open to all those who've found nothing closer to home.

This thought took me to the Internet and led me to an index of homeschooling support group helps: Starting a Support Group

I think this directory of resources is all I'd need to get going! I didn't expect to find so much great information all in one place, but someone has already done the homework for me. All that's left for me to do now is to study, plan, and initiate. That's enough, right? lol

Have any of you started your own homeschooling group? Any advice?
