The Weekly Link & Dr. Suess

Just for fun, I thought I'd start posting a weekly link for homeschoolers looking to supplement their children's curriculum. Most of the links will likely be geared toward early education... anywhere from Pre-K to 6th grade, but I will occasionally try to throw in a few cool finds for Middle School and High School students.

This week I'd like to share a find that I just discovered yesterday. As part of the 1st grade curriculum through My Father's World, we're to supplement with daily reading time, from any book we feel led to share. Anyway, today we started with Dr. Suess books! They're fun and easy to read and make for a great start for any 6 year old who enjoys a good laugh.

Late last night while online planning our next day's lesson I came across a great supplement to the Dr. Suess books. If you're planning on incorporating these books as a part of your child's reading program, visit A to Z Teacher Stuff for free printables based on the Dr. Suess characters. You'll find coloring pages, mazes, connect-the-dots, crosswords, word searches and more. If you scroll down to the bottom of the list of printables you'll find that you can narrow your search by grade level. ; )
